What brings me here?
What brings any of us here—a common thread in life: God's love!
If you told me 20 years ago, 10 or even six years
ago that I would start an organization that will eventually bring
millions of people together to profess their love for each other and for
God, I would have told you that you were not operating with all oars in
the water. However, five years ago God took an 8,000 pound steel beam
and gently touched my head with it...while at the same time crushing the
cab of the truck I was driving. It was for all intents and purposes
that proverbial two-by-four across the head to wake me up to God saying
"It is time."
As I walked away from that accident, one in which I
could have easily been killed, my life flashed before me as I was
reminded of a skiing accident 15 years before and a motorcycle accident
10 years before that. A car ran a red light and demolished my
motorcycle and I hit the trees lining a ski run as I turned to avoid
hitting a downed skier. According to the ski patrol it was like watching
someone thread the eye of a needle. Within hours of both of these
accidents there were other people having the same type of accident who
died instantly. |
But not me! I literally walked away without a single
broken bone in the first accident and in the second a simple fracture of a bone.
After each of these two accidents I remember the doctors commenting that I was
lucky—the circumstances were such that I should not have survived.
But after that third accident, I prayed, “God, What do you
want from me? And, why me???”
For the next four months I spend quite a bit of time in
prayer. Asking over and over “why me” and “what in the world could He want from
me?” I am a sinner in this world who had on several occasions written off the
church. Though it was true I never wrote God off completely, I certainly had
lost all faith in church organizations. My prayers and meditation on the
accidents in my life made it clear that I was not simply a lucky man; I was
truly blessed and there must have been angels watching over me and protecting
me. Why would He save me?
Then Came God's Answer...
I was attending a conference in Las Vegas that my company
was sponsoring. I was only scheduled to be there for a day and yet after
arriving I felt the need to stay and hang out with the speakers and the mentor
groups. On Sunday there were break out sessions where each of the speakers and
mentors sat down with a small group of the attendees to do more individual
coaching sessions on their businesses and areas of personal growth.
I looked at the schedule and my name was on the list with a
Life Coach named Pam. As I approached the table we were all to meet at I
noticed it was just she and I there. So I introduced myself and commented on
that fact we must be waiting on a few more people. Pam replied, "No, this time
is just for you and I."
I responded, “Well no... I think we have others joining
us,” as I glanced down at the schedule for the table.
She then again stated, "No this time is just for you and
me!"
I thought her response sounded a bit strange however I
decided to make the introduction again but she turned to me and said, "You don't
know who you are, do you?"
"Well of course I do, I am Wayne Warrington and I serve as
Chairman of the organization."
She then quietly said, "No sweetie, you do not know who
you are with God!"
Well needless to say I fell to the chair, and, well, let's
just say I lost my professional composure. As I tried hard to retain my mindset
I said to her, “What are you talking about?”
She replied, "You have been asking Him for an answer
haven't you? Well, you are here to touch the lives of millions upon million of
people in a very positive way."
And that was it. Nothing more. No details. Just a little
angel here on earth told to deliver to me that simple message. This was in May
of 2006. Every day of my life since has been walking on that path to find my way
to the millions of those whose lives I am to reach out to. Reach out to and
simply tell them who I am with God.
Who I am with God...
I am His child. Just as you are. No more, no less, no
greater and with no more special gift than He has provided to you.
Over the past four years I have diligently studied the
Bible, I have taken up disciple studies in order to be ordained within the
ministry, I have helped start a church, I have assisted in fundraising and
outreach programs for others, I have reached out to individuals and have offered
His love through me. However, even with all this I have learned through
discernment that there is very little I am to say to you, while at the same time
I have much to impart to those who seek a more peaceful life here.
For me the truth about our relationship with God is simple.
He has two commandments for us to learn this day and to use each day in our walk
with him. These commandments, as professed by His son Jesus Christ, are the
most important and represent the foundation of ANY relationship you wish to have
with Him. The commandments can be found in Matthew 22: 36-40:
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your
heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as
yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
These commandments do not say you have to go to a building
with walls and a steeple in order to have a relationship with God. These
commandments do not say you must accept the teaching of a pastor in the front of
a room who professes to be an all-knowing expert in the Bible.
What Jesus said is simple, easy to understand and if
applied each day, each hour, each moment as we are faced with the reality of
life, well these commandments become the foundation of your faith and will help
you live a more peaceful, loving and fulfilled life through Him.
One reason I find life is easy and that peace is achievable
at this time in our history is based solely upon these two commandments being
imbedded within my mind, my heart and my spirit as I walk on the path He has set
before me. I know God exists. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of
God and came here to save me. I believe and have undying faith in God's promise
to us of Eternal life and therefore I can peacefully accept the trials and
tribulations of this world that represents to me, in my heart of hearts and
through my faith, nothing more than a blink of His eye as it pertains to the
full time line of my life. When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I
became filled with the Holly Spirit and He has never left me since. He is my
strength, He is my redeemer, and I walk only by the Grace of God from this day
forward.
Most everyone reading this has a story to tell. They have
their own challenges of faith and of finding their purpose here on earth. Mine
was so dramatic to me as I laid there on a hospital bed fully expecting to die
and yet walking away in perfect health, once again, through this His grace, His
mercy and for His purpose for me here on earth.
I have been asked why there is a count down
of days on the main page of this site. The day selected is December 31st, 2011.
This is not meant as an end of times, or a prediction of any form of biblical
event. Through prayer and meditation I believe my personal path is to reach 10
million people by 2012 and share my story with them. That is all the date means to me. Hyacinth as well
has a
number she felt she needed to reach by this time and that was 11 million.
Interestingly enough, we been lead to other children of God with similar paths in front of them.
Whatever date is on this site is truly unimportant, it serves as nothing more
than a date in which to achieve a goal. What is important is this, it is
time to stand up and take responsibility for our world, our faith and our
humanity. It is simply time to let go of those things that are not serving
humanity, the Earth, our family, ourselves and of course God.
My wish, my desire, here on earth is that everyone--even if
for just a moment in time--could feel His love and His presence as I do each day
and thus experience what undying faith can do to your life. For life is easy,
when you walk in faith and with His love guiding you. It all starts with loving
the One, which means loving Him and loving His children. For in this lifetime,
in this world and in heaven we are truly ONE!
With My Love to All of God's Children,
Wayne Warrington
